February 19, 2019

How to get out of a negative dating relationship| Transformed4More.com| Ministry for Teenage Girls

Are you in the midst of a negative dating relationship? Do you feel smothered? Do you feel like you can’t accomplish your future goals/dreams because of your romantic relationship?

Dating is a topic we talk about a length on this site. I even wrote a book on the topic. I discuss it frequently because, in my experience, it is one of the major facets of teen life that can send it in a downward spiral quickly.

In today’s post, I want to discuss with you how to end a negative dating relationship. Please read the following two options so you will know what route to take 🙂 and then check out the resources at the bottom of the post!

5 Steps to Have a Healthy Relationship with Social Media

January 24, 2019

5 Steps to having a healthy relationship with social media| Transformed4more.com| Ministry for Christian teenage girls

Susan sat attempting to complete her homework.

*buzz*. It was a notification from Instagram. She checked it and then started back with her work.

*buzz*…a Snapchat notification. Again, she checked it, then got back to work.

After 10 more minutes, she had checked her phone three more times because of notifications.

“I am never going to be able to get this done,” she thought to herself. She put her phone downstairs and finally finished.

Later that night at bedtime, she started scrolling through her phone. Before she knew it, it was past 1 a.am. and she finally went to sleep. The next day she was groggy and irritable.

Do your days sound like Susan’s?

Do I Need a Break from Social Media?| Transformed4More.com

Let me begin by saying that I am not anti-social media. I think it can be used as an outlet for good and we even use a few social media platforms to share posts from this ministry.

However, I have seen social media rob teens of happiness, freedom, self worth, and friendships. So today, I would like for you to consider the following and decide if it’s time to take a break from your accounts.

How Social Media Aids the Teenage Mental Health Decline

January 17, 2019

How Social Media aids the Teenage Mental Health Decline| Transformed4More.com| Blog for Teenage Girls

In modern times in America, we can hardly go a few weeks without seeing an article, news clip, or some sort of media discussing the issue with the rise of negative mental health outcomes in teenagers including anxiety, depression, and suicide.

I understand that a topic such as mental health cannot be addressed in one blog post. Therefore, this post will specifically discuss anxiety, depression, and suicide, and the link to social media usage. It will also include posts for more information and/or help.

Six things people actually mean when they say, “Social Media is ruining your life!”

January 14, 2019

“Social media is ruining young people’s lives!” Have you heard a message like this before? I have, and it is painfully non-specific.

Adults go around saying this with good intentions, but without actually being able to express what about it “ruins lives”, the message will fall on deaf ears.

I discussed some of the negatives in a post  I did last year. Now, as we go through the “Break the Chains” series, I want to discuss it in more detail.

Let me be clear that this is not a “social media is Satan” post, it is simply a post to explain to you what people actually mean and make you think about different ways social media may be negatively affecting your life.

Watch below!
