Two Verses to Remember when You Need Encouragement

November 13, 2018

Encouragement. It’s something I definitely need at this point in my life.

Lately, I have been plagued by the feeling that nothing I do matters because it doesn’t seem that anyone cares about what I do.

I know that this is a “straight up” lie because raising tiny humans matters. The work I do on this blog for the Lord matters. Being a good wife matters. Shining the light of Christ in a dark world matters. However, from time to time, I just get discouraged.

However, there are two verses that I keep referring back to to help me through this time, so I thought it would be appropriate to share with you.

The video below is approximately three minutes and I hope that you feel better after you watch it 🙂

Emma Walker & The Cycle of Violence

October 22, 2018

Emma Walker & the Cycle of Violence| Transformed4More.com| Blog for Teenage Girls

The Cycle of Violence is a subject that is “near and dear” to my heart. In fact, I did an  seven part series (click here for the first post) within the first two months of launching this site, and I talk about it length as well in my book on teenage dating.

Since it has been two years since I’ve discussed the topic, I wanted to do a refresher. The story I am going to tell you happened an hour from where I live, and it was in the local news cycle for months.

PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY: If the cycle of violence can happen to me, it can happen to anyone. Do not be naive reading this and think it won’t because you’re a “good Christian girl”. What I’m about to discuss really could save your life.

Dear Teenagers: A Plea to You About Sin

October 16, 2018

Dear Teenagers: A Plea to You About Sin| Transformed4More.com

Sin.

I hate this word.

I hate what it does to people’s lives.

I hate what I have seen it do in the world and within the walls of my own family.

I hate seeing teenagers disregard its severity and reap the consequences later in life.

And you know what?

God hated it too.

So much so that he sent Jesus to DIE on a cross to pay the penalty for us.

Today’s post is a plea from me to you. A plea to stop for a moment, read what I am saying and realize, yet again, that sin will destroy your life.

Three Ways We (and Eve) Justify Sin

September 26, 2018

Three Way We ( & Eve) Justify Sin| Transformed4More.com| Ministry for Teenage Girls

“I know cheating isn’t necessarily right, but it will help me get a better average for the class.”

“He is soooooooo cute and asked me for a picture. A sexy one won’t hurt.”

Thoughts like these, as well as many others, creep into our mind when an enticing sin presents itself.  In fact, these thoughts take us ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL the way back to the Garden of Eden. In the encounter between Eve and the serpent, a.k.a. Satan,  Eve thinks three distinct thoughts to convince herself to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

In today’s post, we will discuss those thoughts and how they are still used to justify sin today.

The Significance of Repentance (the forgotten part of salvation)

September 20, 2018

The Significance of Repentance| Transformed4More| Christianity

A few years ago, I was teaching a group of teenage girls, and I asked them how many  had ever heard the words “repentance” or “repent”. Out of the group of eight girls, all of whom had grown up in church, only one raised her hand. I probed further and asked if she could put in her own words what it meant; she could not.

Unfortunately, I cannot say I was shocked by these findings. In a modern culture that unapologetically accepts and parades sin, and even “churches” who accept open sin, it is easy to see why this aspect of salvation is largely left by the wayside.

Today, I want to explain what repentance is and its importance in the process of salvation.
