5 Reasons to Stop Telling Teen Girls that Pregnancy is the WORST thing that can happen to them

April 30, 2019

5 Reasons to Stop Telling Teen Girls that Pregnancy is the WORST thing that can happen to them| Transformed4More.com| Blog for Christian teenage girls

“Let me tell you something right now, ” Angie’s mom said with a stern look on her face, “having a baby is the worst thing that can happen to you during your teen years. If you go out and have sex, you could chance throwing away the rest of your life.”

Have any of you ever been a part of a conversation like this?

Although I believe that Angie’s mom’s heart is in the right place, as far as not wanting to bring a baby into a less than ideal situation, I wanted to write this post and discuss why statements like this can have a detrimental effect.

Two Truths to Remember When Christmas isn’t Merry

December 15, 2018

Two Truths to Remember when Christmas Isn't Merry| Tranformed4More.com| Blog for Teenage Girls

The Christmas season is portrayed as a glorious time of love, celebration, and cheer. That’s why when I heard the song “I Hate Christmas Parties” by Relient K for the first time when I was in college, it made me immediately stop and think.

The final lyrics of the song say, “I hate Christmas parties. You offer me some punch, but I just shrug. I hate Christmas parties. You and the cookie tray both hear me say ‘Bah! Humbug!’”

Although the song is sad, it points to a truth that many people attempt to ignore during the holiday season: sometimes, Christmas just isn’t merry or bright.

Two Verses to Remember when You Need Encouragement

November 13, 2018

Encouragement. It’s something I definitely need at this point in my life.

Lately, I have been plagued by the feeling that nothing I do matters because it doesn’t seem that anyone cares about what I do.

I know that this is a “straight up” lie because raising tiny humans matters. The work I do on this blog for the Lord matters. Being a good wife matters. Shining the light of Christ in a dark world matters. However, from time to time, I just get discouraged.

However, there are two verses that I keep referring back to to help me through this time, so I thought it would be appropriate to share with you.

The video below is approximately three minutes and I hope that you feel better after you watch it 🙂

The Significance of Repentance (the forgotten part of salvation)

September 20, 2018

The Significance of Repentance| Transformed4More| Christianity

A few years ago, I was teaching a group of teenage girls, and I asked them how many  had ever heard the words “repentance” or “repent”. Out of the group of eight girls, all of whom had grown up in church, only one raised her hand. I probed further and asked if she could put in her own words what it meant; she could not.

Unfortunately, I cannot say I was shocked by these findings. In a modern culture that unapologetically accepts and parades sin, and even “churches” who accept open sin, it is easy to see why this aspect of salvation is largely left by the wayside.

Today, I want to explain what repentance is and its importance in the process of salvation.
