4 Reasons Your Prayers Aren’t Getting Past the Ceiling

October 9, 2019

4 Reasons Your Prayers Aren't Getting Past the Ceiling| Transformed4More.com

Have you ever finished your prayers and felt like when you finished your prayers didn’t make it past the ceiling? As if there’s no way God heard it? Like it was a waste of time? Maybe he wouldn’t answer it anyway?

There are countless reasons you may feel like this, and I can definitely relate to the feeling.

After learning more about prayer and what God wants from us when we pray, I have discovered four reasons that my prayers probably didn’t make it past the ceiling.

Please note: I am not an expert on prayer, this post is based on my own personal experience because I think there are many out there who can relate.

God’s Commandments are not Burdensome: A Visual Lesson

October 2, 2019

“But Christianity is so boring and burdensome Sarah. It’s just a list of things you can’t do while everyone else is out having fun.”

I have heard statements like these over the years in my work with teenagers, and honestly, it breaks my heart. It reveals many things, but one in particular is that they think God’s laws and commandments are a burden to carry, instead of a way that actually allows them to walk in freedom.

The Bible even attests to this in 1 John 5:3 which states, “For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.”

In today’s vlog, I show you the visual that I use with individuals and audiences to show that the commandments of God are, in fact, not burdensome. PLEASE, PLEASE watch below!

Will God Really Give Me the Desires of my Heart?

March 27, 2019

Will God Really Give Me the Desires of My Heart| Transformed4More.com

During the teen years, one verse that is often heard is Psalm 37:4, “Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”

Today, I want to explain this verse and give my own personal story to understanding it. In the beginning of my Christian walk, I thought this meant that if I was faithful, stayed away from sin, and did what was right, God would give me things I sincerely wanted. Things that were good for me and honorable in his sight.

…and I thought He was fulfilling it all when I was 17 and met Seth.

Two Truths to Remember When Christmas isn’t Merry

December 15, 2018

Two Truths to Remember when Christmas Isn't Merry| Tranformed4More.com| Blog for Teenage Girls

The Christmas season is portrayed as a glorious time of love, celebration, and cheer. That’s why when I heard the song “I Hate Christmas Parties” by Relient K for the first time when I was in college, it made me immediately stop and think.

The final lyrics of the song say, “I hate Christmas parties. You offer me some punch, but I just shrug. I hate Christmas parties. You and the cookie tray both hear me say ‘Bah! Humbug!’”

Although the song is sad, it points to a truth that many people attempt to ignore during the holiday season: sometimes, Christmas just isn’t merry or bright.

Moses, Face Filters, & Hiding the Truth: A Breakdown of 2 Corinthians 3:12-18

November 28, 2018

Did you know that “face filters” are mentioned in the Bible? Seriously!

In case you didn’t know, Moses used a type of face filter, a veil actually, and it is discussed in 2 Corinthians 3:12-18. This vlog is extremely fitting in today’s culture because we are really good at putting filters on ourselves. In fact, when we don’t use them, people specifically put #nofilter.

The vlog is a little over five minutes and I think almost anyone can glean something from it. 🙂 Watch and think!
