Two Verses to Remember when You Need Encouragement

November 13, 2018

Encouragement. It’s something I definitely need at this point in my life.

Lately, I have been plagued by the feeling that nothing I do matters because it doesn’t seem that anyone cares about what I do.

I know that this is a “straight up” lie because raising tiny humans matters. The work I do on this blog for the Lord matters. Being a good wife matters. Shining the light of Christ in a dark world matters. However, from time to time, I just get discouraged.

However, there are two verses that I keep referring back to to help me through this time, so I thought it would be appropriate to share with you.

The video below is approximately three minutes and I hope that you feel better after you watch it 🙂

Three Ways We (and Eve) Justify Sin

September 26, 2018

Three Way We ( & Eve) Justify Sin| Transformed4More.com| Ministry for Teenage Girls

“I know cheating isn’t necessarily right, but it will help me get a better average for the class.”

“He is soooooooo cute and asked me for a picture. A sexy one won’t hurt.”

Thoughts like these, as well as many others, creep into our mind when an enticing sin presents itself.  In fact, these thoughts take us ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL the way back to the Garden of Eden. In the encounter between Eve and the serpent, a.k.a. Satan,  Eve thinks three distinct thoughts to convince herself to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

In today’s post, we will discuss those thoughts and how they are still used to justify sin today.

The Significance of Repentance (the forgotten part of salvation)

September 20, 2018

The Significance of Repentance| Transformed4More| Christianity

A few years ago, I was teaching a group of teenage girls, and I asked them how many  had ever heard the words “repentance” or “repent”. Out of the group of eight girls, all of whom had grown up in church, only one raised her hand. I probed further and asked if she could put in her own words what it meant; she could not.

Unfortunately, I cannot say I was shocked by these findings. In a modern culture that unapologetically accepts and parades sin, and even “churches” who accept open sin, it is easy to see why this aspect of salvation is largely left by the wayside.

Today, I want to explain what repentance is and its importance in the process of salvation.

How Would You React to Being “Called Out” for Sin?

April 10, 2018

Last week, we discussed why it’s OK to call out other Christians for sin and how to do it.

Now the question becomes, how would you react if another Christian with whom you had a close relationship approached you and told you that they saw an open sin in your life?

Would you yell at them? Dissolve the friendship? or would you take it to heart and examine if there was any truth to their statement?

How you react to this will tell you much about the condition of your heart. Watch the vlog below to see what your reaction reveals and what to do. If you like it, please share!

How to Keep Other Christians Accountable for Sin

April 5, 2018

How to Keep Other Christians Accountable for Sin| Transformed4More.com| Ministry for Teenage Girls| Truth| Christianity

In my last post, I discussed why it’s OK to keep other Christians accountable when it comes to sin. I broke down that in our modern Christian culture it has somehow become taboo to “call each other out” for sin and if we don’t do it, we aren’t helping each other grow spiritually.

Since I said we should do it, I wanted to also share how to do it. The following scriptures explain how to do this process effectively.

Remember, this process should be entered into prayerfully and should also only be done with someone you already have an established positive relationship with. The other person needs to already know you have a sincere heart and a genuine concern for his/her well being.

So, here we go…
